The Ants go marching one by one……..

During the weekend of February 3rd to the 5th, a typical winter scene was happening down at the Forks, in Winnipeg, MB.
As I watched all the ice skaters, hockey players, curlers and people just out for a sunny afternoon stroll, I thought to myself, “self, this would be another great opportunity to capture some Tilt Shift Time Lapse Photography.”

What I love about capturing people in Time Lapse, is seeing how much ground they cover over the course of an afternoon. For example, try to follow the person with the red toque…which means hat for all my non-canadian followers!

My business has been changing in the last 3 years and it seems that I have to make some decisions regarding which projects I can take on…or not.

Stuart Olson Dominion Construction and the IPBCC

These images are from the recently completed International Polar Bear Conservation Centre (IPBCC) at the Assiniboine Park Zoo, which is another project by Stuart Olson Dominion Construction.

This is a public Centre that allows you to learn about the Polar Bears, their natural Habitat and how we can help their future.

The Forks – Tilt Shift/Time Lapse Photography

One Sunday afternoon I took my 24 TSE, 5D MKII down to the Forks to capture some tilt shift time lapse.
Comments are always appreciated.

Exif:

f 3.5 at 24 mm 1/400 at 200 iso.

Total number of shots: 715

Converted Raw files into JPEG, made Image Sequence with Quicktime and edited the video in Final Cut

Express.

2011 was a spectacular year for me: I gained new clients, had bigger gigs, used more elaborate lighting, and took a lot of architecture and product shots. It was so great, that I decided to look back at some of my favorite shots and compile a Best of the Year summary.

A special opportunity for a few Photographers

Hey fellow Photographers! Are you looking for a studio that you would be proud to show your clients? I am looking for 4 to 5 photographers that are looking to share the rental of my current studio space. It is just under 2000 square feet, on the 5th floor of a Historic building in the heart of the Exchange district, and it’s equipped with a Kitchen, Stove, Fridge, and full washroom facilities. There is also a small storage space available for your gear.

What about an office space? This floor also has a gorgeous front office, overlooking the Burton Cummings Theatre with 3 huge windows (see last image). I am looking to rent this out to anyone who is looking for a new office…photographer or not.

Both the office and the studio are available for rent JANUARY 1st!
